Did you ever wonder what goes on in a preschool dance class? Everything from the “gathering activity” (Ring Around the Rosie) to the final bow have a purpose. Preschool dance classes use true dancer terminology. Preschool dance is just the beginning of fine and gross motor skills development. It identifies the movement and starts the dance vocabulary for the learner. Things like crawling and skipping are known to create neural pathways to help with learning how to read.

Within the KBSD preschool dance program, we encourage our young dancers to develop an enthusiasm for dance and a sense of independence while having fun.
